F5 was excited to start off the RSA week in brilliance and style at Microsoft Security 20/20. This gala event celebrated and honored their top partners within the Microsoft Security ecosystem. It’s extremely exciting to be recognized for the customer obsession we have at F5 with the Customer Impact Award, given security is a critical initiative and core competency for both companies.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Satya Nadella’s belief is that organizations that embrace the “tech intensity” will not only adopt best-in-class software and services but also build their own digital capability. Their commitment to customers’ success is resulting in deeper partnerships and growing momentum across every layer of the differentiated technology stack—from application infrastructure, to data and artificial intelligence (AI), to business process, to productivity and collaboration.

Today, 95 percent of the Fortune 500 trust Azure for their mission-critical workloads. This year, they opened new government regions to meet the public sector’s stringent requirements for maintaining the security and integrity of classified workloads. F5 has continued to innovate with Microsoft in the area of security in recent years, particularly in the area of trust, one of their key investments. Microsoft defines trust with three pillars: privacy, cybersecurity, and responsible AI. Across each, the commitment is to provide tools and frameworks for customers and working collaboratively with the public sector to drive policy change.  It’s worth noting that out of Azure’s top 25 customers, F5 sits in front of 95% of those customer applications, including NGINX.

At F5, we work with organizations from all industries and parts of the world, and the common thread between them is that they are all going through some form of digital transformation. These challenges impact companies in several different ways. There are typically seven to nine different application services along the application data path. As customers implement these new services along the application data path, it’s critical that security is pervasive, from early in the application development cycle, all the way to the user. Utilizing machine learning/AI, F5’s aim for application security is to deliver solutions that reduce friction and enable agility, while making sure an organizations most valuable assets—their applications—are protected.

It for this reason, we are honored to be recognized by Microsoft—a key enabler for today’s modern, digital economy—for the work we’ve done together to help our mutual customers manage an ever-evolving kaleidoscope of security risks and threats. In this inaugural year for these Security Partner Awards, we were a finalist in the categories of ISV Partner of the Year, Most Prolific Integration Partner, and Customer Impact. And, we’re thrilled to have won the Customer Impact Award. This team effort was across all of F5, from product teams, business development teams, sales teams and marketing

And, if you’re at RSA this week, you can learn more about our approach to end-to-end app security along with technology demonstrations of our solutions by stopping by booth N 5973. Come by to talk with F5 experts about emerging application threats, how to fill existing app security gaps, and the advantages customers enjoy when deploying F5, NGINX, and Shape Security solutions in concert with technology from partners like Microsoft.
